I am shocked , more than 10 years of protests and I have never witnessed such brutality.
It began with bullets. We were standing near le grey. Bullets were shot there.
We passed by an nahar , samir kassir garden , gaz began to be used and Heavily. My 3 g was not working . Freedom of expression? !
We ran in one of the zwarib near aswak beirut, gaz was more heavy. I felt my eyes , throat and cheeks are burning. Burning!!!! Protesters were helping each other. It was beautiful! Someone pushed us in one of souk beirut loading underground parking. When I saw dogs I was afraid. Thks god they were the souk security dogs. A security man helped us get some water and find an elevator to go in the souk. Another one pushed us out and was screaming on us . We were almost 10 pple . I assume I wasn’t able to see correctly.
Tsc plus closed their doors. The same for the brands stores!😦
We found refuge in souk wc. After being able to enter tsc and get pepsi and laban for our burning eyes.
Brutality of police today was horrible. I can’t find an explanation to it. Protesters were peaceful! Beautiful! Demanding simple things: a long term solution for the garbage crisis.
After such brutality my demands are different: Ministers u are Responsible of this brutal assault.
You should go home!
Is it easy enough for u to understand? !
U were not able to find a solution for the garbage crisis, u should leave! Capish? !
I came back home for baby jn sake. But will return there or use another way to protest for my rights because this is my right as a citizen! #YouStink ! #طلعت_ريحتكم #garbage #Lebanon
