Vacancy | Project Coordinator
(6 month assignment | Immediate Recruitment)
ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation, evaluation and tracking of meeting the project objectives.
Post holder reports to: ABAAD Executive Director
•Contribute to the project implementation in line with the agreed action plan with the project Manager and project partners, and ensure timely responses;
•Facilitate the implementation of ABAAD implemented activities through coordination with the local community actors and with partners in Lebanon and in the region;
•Support the ABAAD Director with the development of various TORs and support with recruitment of consultants and ensure the qualifications match the scope of the work/assignment;
•Consolidate reports on the project implemented activities and enhance learning;
•Facilitate learning and linkages among local staff and partner organizations;
•Assist in the preparation of partners’ contracts, and amendments when deemed necessary
•Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the project as well as learning reviews and ensure proper documentation;
•Capture learning and document the work of successful stories, to ensure that the projects’ inputs are producing positive results in the lives of women;
•Participate in the meetings with the project stakeholders as requested by ABAAD Director;
•Prepare payment requests, floats as needed;
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:
•University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development;
•Proven track record of working in a similar capacity with the nation and/or international NGOs in the region;
•Experience in field coordination, monitoring and follow up;
•Experience in event management and coordination;
•Highly skilled in report writing;
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic including demonstrable ability to work with others and as part of a team;
•Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, and social media;
•Good organizational skills;
•Knowledge of gender and gender equality;
•Effective member of team and role model; demonstrates creativity in seeking better ways to do things and shares with team, and promotes high standards.
•Takes responsibility for own work and delegated project/processes (including some leadership);
•Anticipates problems and regularly provides solutions.
Experience required: 2 to 3 years
Education degree: Bachelor Degree Field of education: Social Science or related discipline, including gender and development;
Arabic: Fluent English: Excellent French:
Period: 6 month, renewable upon need
