Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teachers Improvement (D-RASATI) will improve educational outcomes in Lebanon by improving teacher and student performance, increasing community and parental involvement, and improving the school learning environment. The D-RASATI program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Data Analyst Summary: The D-RASATI program is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Monitoring & Evaluation Director in managing all M&E activities including data collection, processing, and reporting. This position will report to the M&E Director and will be located in Beirut, Lebanon. Essential functions include [but are not limited to]: • Assists with the design and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system that measures the effectiveness of project initiatives including school rehabilitation, academic improvement, teacher development, and community involvement; • Designs and conducts research; • Develops testing procedures for assessing quality; • Ensures accuracy of all data collection; • Generates and reports data in compliance with USAID procedures and agreements in the award; • Improves data processing and reporting; • Helps build staff and counterpart capacity in data processing and reporting; • May supervise members of data team. Qualifications and Requirements: • Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent with 5-7 years of relevant experience; • 1-2 years of supervisory experience; • Competence in qualitative and quantitative study design and implementation; • Extensive experience with monitoring program implementation using qualitative and quantitative approaches; • Demonstrated experience using data analysis packages such as SAS or SPSS and database management systems, preferably Access; • Experience in developing and coordinating data collection, processing and analysis systems; • Strong organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills; • Good technical writing skills; • Good English language skills; • Experience in monitoring and evaluating education and/or community development programs strongly preferred. The Developing Assistance to Schools and Teachers Improvement (D-RASATI) aims at improving student achievement in public schools in Lebanon. D-RASATI is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The D-RASATI program in Lebanon is seeking a creative design consultant/firm to assist in developing communication materials for the project. D-RASATI is looking to engage a consultant or firm on retainer. Work will be intermittent, by task as needed, with payment by deliverable. Qualifications Needed 1. Established design credentials (reputation and track record for a firm; degree/training certificate and track record for individual consultant) 2. Previous work with non-profit, non-governmental organizations or philanthropic organizations required; 3. Knowledge of the field of education a plus; 4. Portfolio of work for review. D-RASATI initial work 1. The first task required is the design of a project brochure that explains the project and its aims. The information in the brochure will not exceed an A4 paper. Project Campaigner for Green Line:
Project/Campaign Operation • Attend weekly project/campaigns meetings and executive committee meetings; • Build close links with members and support their advocacy and awareness-raising activities • Ensure the timely implementation of planned project activities as identified in the work plan and assigned by executive committee and project coordinators • Assist in other tasks that contribute to the effective functioning of the project/campaigns. 2- Communication, Reporting and Work plans • Assist with the preparation of project narrative and financial reports, evaluations and other project documentation, including work plans, and budgets, as requested by the executive committee and as needed by donor’s progress in coordination with the Administrative Officer • Compile fortnightly media update reports on the status of environmental resources in Lebanon and provide findings in writing to be shared with Green Line members • Compile and disseminate weekly project/campaign minutes; and ensure proper filing of the project/campaigns minutes and documents by the Administrative officer • Assist members in the organization of national and regional advocacy and awareness activities, meetings/events/workshops, in relation with the project (support in concept and content development but also logistics with the help of the Administrative officer) • Assist members in production (draft/edit/translate) and dissemination of awareness and advocacy material and conference/workshops proceedings (fact sheets, press releases, presentations, politicians on their rights to clean and easily accessible resources and to a healthy environment • Assist in drafting project proposals and other documents for donor-support Qualifications •Holds a university degree in a field related to Environment or Agriculture. •Experience in environmental work •Experience in reporting •Time management skills and ability to work independently •Computer literacy (e.g. MS office…) •Working knowledge of English and Arabic Contact Person Ali Halas tel: : 01746215 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org ; http://www.greenline.org.lb
